You are only a few hours drive from a Haven Holiday Park.
Somerset this makes a great location for your family holiday home.
When we 1st got there it felt a lot smaller compared to other haven sites. But as the midweek visit went on we started to enjoy our selfs. Luckily the weather turned out to be quite bright which helped a lot also. Overall little but nice little hideaway. Beautiful little seaside town called watchet with a beautiful pub called the star inn well worth a visit.
We booked a last minute Mon-Fri deal at Haven's Doniford Bay in Somerset. Never been down this neck of the woods before but proved to be a nice place. If you want a beach and sea holiday then i wouldn't say this is the one for you. The sea is out most of the time during the day and doesn't look inviting at all (brown). ts not dirty just tidal sand etc..
As far as the Haven holiday is concerned then good value last minute for the school hols. We even got upgraded to a larger more deluxe caravan!
Site was clean with good facilities and the entertainment was great for the kids.
Doniford / Watchett are nice pretty villages. We went to Minehead for the day as that each is sandy, which was only twenty minutes away too. Dunster Castle is also worth a visit as its close by.
All in all a great trip, definitely do the Haven thing again.
We booked the caravan for a long w/e break. Having read the latest reviews on tripadvisor we were a bit concerned, however we need to not have been worried at all.
The check-in process was very easy and we received plenty of communication beforehand, the caravan itself was really good, very clean, modern and roomy. The beds were comfortable and the rooms quite cosy. The staff were helpful too.
We did not use the onsite facilities but these looked good and easy to book. The onsite fish and chips place was not great but handy if you got hungry. If you fancy a good meal, we would recommend the Farmers Arms at Combe Florey, its hidden away but very cute and cosy and the food was amazing.
Overall it was a great break in a good location to tour the surrounding areas.
